In your depiction - this guy looks a little undecided. Does he have a purpose here?
It would be great to see some looser images - concentrating just on the shapes of the character that describe him and his nature. Keep in mind the line of action and not too many details. I know the details are the fun part - but I think some stronger base poses to start with could help your character development quite a bit.
Just a suggestion, but that always helps me. A character is never there until you've lived with it a while - and that means drawing the hell out of it :)
